ROLAND SHAW ORCHESTRA DOES JAMES BOND!

ROLAND SHAW ORCHESTRA DOES JAMES BOND!

The Crime Lounge (
www.thecrimelounge.blogspot.com) has posted a fantastic rip of a ‘70s album by top arranger/composer Roland Shaw and his Big Bombastic Orchestra playing some of the best Bond traks every grooved into vinyl.

This is a double LP set from the 70's entitled The Return of James Bond in Diamonds are Forever and Other Secret Agent Themes (do these albums have long titles or what?) and must surely rank as one of the best collections of its kind.

As well as the usual Bond stuff, which appeared on various other Shaw collections, there are some great versions of TV themes played the way only Shaw can. Fantastic covers of The Avengers, The Ipcress File, Mission Impossible & Our Man Flint amongst others.

Thanks to you I spent five !@#$%^ hours on that site and the various sites he links to, downloading dozens and dozens of albums from Rapidshare.

I owe you one...
