Do you ever wish to go back to high school and have a do over?
I had the opportunity straight out of the police academy when I went back to high school as a student with the extra curricular assignment of buying drugs from students and teachers. Fun stuff – smoking in the boys room, not doing homework, creating problems in class, cutting class to go to the beach or hang out behind the bleachers, fending off the high school girls because you had a girlfriend in college (a female cop partner if you ever had to produce her). Can any one say, Twenty One Jump Street? I knew you could.
The funniest thing was getting sent to the office and having to have my ‘father’ come down and talk to the pricipal. When this happened our unit supervisor came down and acted as our parent (the principal knew there was a narc on campus, but didn’t know who it was).
The humor of the situation came in the fact the supervisor who acted as my ‘father’ was a 6’6,” 250 lbs, Black guy! Seeing as I was Caucasian and about 170 wringing wet, the principal figured he knew why I was having so many problems in school (this was the late, unenlightened ‘70s).
That’s my story, but Wendy Brown took another route:
A 33-year-old woman was charged with stealing her daughter’s identity to attend high school and joining the cheerleading team.
Wendy Brown, of Green Bay, was charged with felony identity theft after enrolling in Ashwaubenon High School as her daughter, who lives in Nevada with Brown’s mother.
The criminal complaint said Brown admitted to telling school officials she was 15 because she wanted to get her high school diploma and join the cheerleading squad.
She allegedly attended practices, received a cheerleader’s locker and went to a pool party at the cheerleading coach’s house.
She felt if Drew Barrymore could do it (in the 1999 movie Never Been Kissed movie), so could she!
