ROBERT E. HOWARD -- QUOTE OF THE DAY!

ROBERT E. HOWARD -- QUOTE OF THE DAY!

From Iron Shadows In The Moon:
With a gusty laugh he lifted her to his fierce lips."I'll make you Queen of the Blue Sea! Cast off there, dogs! We'll scorch King Yildiz's pantaloons yet, by Crom!"

Iron Shadows in the Moon is one of Howard's original short stories starring Conan the Cimmerian, first published in Weird Tales magazine circa April 1934 under the title Shadows in the Moonlight.
The story concerns Conan escaping to a remote island in the Vilayet Sea where he encounters the Red Brotherhood, a skulking creature, and mysterious iron statues.

I love so many of his lines from the Conan stories. Many times I think they connect with something primal inside. Love that cover.
