I have a feeling some of the outrageous humor of the radio show will be lost. I know everybody remembers Jack Webb for DRAGNET, but he's great as Pat Novak.

I share your concern, Bill. Still, anytime a comic book character wears pants instead of tights, it's probably a good thing.

This is an old graphic novel written by Steven Grant. It's actually pretty good. It captures the flavor of the radio show while placing the character in a modern setting. Grant has written several other noir comic books along with a Novak prose story that's featured in the Moonstone anthology Sex, Lies and Private Eyes.
